Our Quality Process

Why We Test Seeds Before Pressing

Most brands test oil after pressing. We test seeds before. Here's why that matters.

Here's something most oil brands won't tell you: the quality of your cooking oil is determined before the pressing even begins. It's determined by the seed.

You can have the most gentle, traditional, low-temperature wooden ghani in the world — but if you're pressing old seeds, improperly stored seeds, or mixed-grade seeds, the oil will still be mediocre. Good process with bad input = bad output.

What Can Go Wrong With Seeds

What We Test For

Every batch of seeds that arrives at ABC Farms goes through verification before it enters our facility:

We reject seeds that don't meet our quality threshold. This means we sometimes pay more per kg for verified Grade-A seeds — but it guarantees consistent, pure oil in every batch.

Why Other Brands Skip This Step

Seed testing adds cost and complexity. It means sometimes rejecting an entire shipment — which means finding another supplier, waiting longer, and paying more. Most brands accept whatever their supplier sends and focus instead on marketing their pressing method.

We believe that's backwards. The pressing method matters — but the input matters more.

What This Means for You

When you buy ABC Farms oil, you're not just getting "wood pressed oil." You're getting oil pressed from seeds that were verified to be fresh, pure, and Grade-A before they were pressed. That's why our oil tastes consistently good batch after batch — because we control the input, not just the process.

Taste the difference verified seeds make.
